Interviews with the author can be [[spoiler:The main timeline of the series seems to be the canon one, but there are several other happy worlds that will probably last as Alternate Continuity fragments. Series: Deepgate Codex, Book 1. The Trilogy begins with Scar Night, which I admit I read quite a while ago now but it is a great book. Title: Scar Night Author: Alan Campbell Published: Tor Books, 2006. Deepgate Codex series by Alan Campbell - books 1, 2 & 3. Some more Ladies Detective agency books (nearly up to date with these now) Just finished God of Clocks, (Clocks I said,) last of the Deepgate Codex trilogy. Requirements: Mobi, Sony, or MS Reader | 3.4 MB Overview: Alan Campbell was born in Falkirk, His first book, Scar Night, sold to Tor in the UK and Bantam in the US. 'Scar Night' (which I read long before starting up the blog) married a brilliant visual concept to an evocative brooding atmosphere but fell down for me when not a lot seemed to actually happen. This series does a couple of really interesting things, but isn't the best I've ever seen. Second book in the Deepgate Codex, sequel to Scar Night. The Deepgate Codex series has four installments upon its conclusion this year: the three main books Scar Night, Iron Angel, and God of Clocks, as well as the novella Lye Street, which explores a bit of Carnival's past and introduces the Greene family. He is now living in South Lanarkshire. There was enough there for me to want to pick up the sequel, 'Iron Angel' and this is where things really kicked off. In Scar Night, the first volume of The Deepgate Codex - a remarkable debut notwithstanding a few issues - Alan Campbell gave us a lot of characters in precious little time. Alan Campbell's 'Deepgate Codex' has been a rather 'stop start' read so far, at least as far as I'm concerned. And I Must Scream: The Soft Men. The Deepgate Codex is a fantasy fiction trilogy from a former games developer and coder Alan Campbell. Not quite as good as Scar Night or Iron Angel but enjoyable nonetheless.
